Program Development

The Program Development unit within the International Center supports faculty, staff, and student interests and initiatives in developing programs and activities that further the internationalization efforts of the university.

Our vision is to serve the University of Florida faculty, staff, students and the community as a comprehensive resource and support unit for the development of programs and activities in international education.

Our mission is to promote and support international education within and across the entire university, community, state and the world. We prepare people to participate in an increasingly globalized world – as informed citizens, as skilled workers, and as engaged individuals. We encourage and support excellence in the development of international education programs and activities through consultation, training, outreach, workshops, research, internships, course development, grants opportunities, and awards.

Our strategic plan recognizes the importance of international education through scholarship, learning, and engagement. PD and the International Center are well positioned to support staff and faculty in achieving their objectives in internationalization at UF, to provide students with information and skills so that they can become global citizens, and to bring attention to UF’s international and global competencies through our engagement and actions.
