The University Gallery has scheduled an international exchange between the College of Fine Arts, School of Art and Art History, and a prestigious group of Irish visual artists/educators called "HorseHead." An exciting exhibition, "Art from the Rucksack II," will open the fall semester. As implied by the title, the artists will ship and hand carry media that will be transformed into an installation in August 2004. This on-site creation of artwork allows for the integration of existing pieces with objects and materials found in Florida so that the show truly combines cultures. A public lecture will be given by three of the exhibiting artists on Friday, August 27 at 3:00 pm in the University Gallery.
