Information for International Students

Many international students have come to us in search of financial aid so they may obtain their degree at the University of Florida. Unfortunately, there is very little financial aid available for foreign nationals to study in the U.S. Most grants, scholarships and loans from public and private sources are restricted to U.S. citizens.

Some countries provide financial aid for their citizens to study in the U.S., and there may be some aid from the U.S. government for students from specific countries (no government student loans). To find financial aid from your country contact your embassy, the U.S. Department of State, and the U.S. Information Agency.

If you are already here on campus you might want to try the Financial Aid Office, Career Planning & Placement Office, or the libraries.
