UFIC New Faculty Bulletin - November 8, 2012
Each year, the International Center coordinates International Education Week (IEW) at UF. Under the theme of “Picture Yourself Connecting with the World,” the University of Florida International Center (UFIC), in collaboration with units across the campus, is planning a myriad of events designed to increase awareness of UF’s global presence and its academic and extracurricular connections around the world. I would like to invite you to participate in the upcoming IEW events (see below) that will occur November 13-16.
This celebration, designated by the U.S. Department of State and the Department of Education, provides an opportunity to highlight the benefits of worldwide international education and exchange. It also promotes programs that prepare Americans for a global environment and attract future leaders from abroad to study in the United States.
UF is proud to offer countless opportunities for international engagement among students, faculty, staff, and the community at large.
For information on international education week activities, events and exhibitions on UF campus and our community visit http://www.ufic.ufl.edu/PD/IEW.html. For worldwide IEW events please visit: http://www.iew.state.gov/
