Gator Global Educators (GaGE)

What do we do?

We are a student organization whose mission is to connect local middle school students and the international student community at the University of Florida. We foster this connection through cultural enrichment lessons delivered by international students in middle school classrooms. In essence, we aim to forge deeper, more fundamental and lasting understandings between students and the world around them. We hope to cultivate a reciprocal understanding of global cultures for both middle school and UF international students. To this end, we aim to impress upon students the importance of education, critical thinking and proactivity in order to inspire action that will contribute to a more peaceful and harmonious world.

Who are we?

The current directors of GaGE are: Krista Schumacher, Rachel Parsons, Tyler Benjamin, Parul Shanker, Stewart Gray, and Stefani Broome.
