PRESS RELEASE

Award Process
In order to support UF's strategic goal of internationalizing the campus and curriculum, the International Center has established an award to recognize outstanding international endeavors by UF faculty members.
A committee is established to judge nominees for the award. Each college is asked to nominate a single candidate, with the exception of IFAS, CLAS and Medicine, which were permitted to nominate two because of the size of those colleges. Each college is free to develop their own review process, but nominations are made by department chairs and endorsed by the deans. Consideration is given to three main factors: research, teaching, and service.
Each award nominee is named “International Educator of the Year” of his/her correspondent college by the UF International Center.
